One of Petty's Best
I've always been a fan of Tom Petty, next to Full Moon Fever(TP's almost solo effort) this album stands out as one of his best ever. Almost half the songs were hits and the rest are nothing to sneeze at either. I picked it up because vintage CDs are so cheap now there's no excuse not to :)

The Soft Parade Has Now Begun
Some say there was too many horns and orchestration on this album, but to me these addition only made the album that much better. Got it mainly for the title song, The Soft Parade. I've had the original album since it first came out and am still in love with it. Only the Doors can mix it up with circus music, country music, rock etc.. and still pull off an excellent sound. If your a Doors fan this one is a must get.

Beats Panther 1
This second effort by Steve Martin is by far better than his first try at the Pink Panther series. The first was ok, considering some of the bad previous efforts by others...like the absolutely horrible Curse of the Pink Panther. while Martin isn't Petter Sellers, he does bring his own sense of comedy into play and overall it works quite well. There is an effort to clean up some of the politically incorrect parts of Seller's original character, the racism, sexism etc...not sure if that was necessary but it was done in a somewhat humorous fashion. Good fun and nice to see the series get a second wind.
