LEGO Star Wars Escape The Space Slug May 4th Special VIP Rare and 5 Polybags
21 avr. 2017
Epic Escape - Han, Luke, Leia, Chuy & Droids survive nearly being digested by GIANT Space Slug!
This rare boxed collectible, dramatically captures this iconic scene during the Empire Strikes Back...which is commonly sighted as the very best Star Wars movie in the trilogy.
Only 3500 Copies Produced (worldwide) for a very special group of extra loyal Lego VIP Star Wars Fans!
This was the most exciting Lego set used to celebrate "May the 4th be with you" in 2016 and was only available for an hour on the morning of the 30th of April.
6176782 Escape the Space Slug was given out to LEGO User Group members who were invited to the special event and has subsequently joined the range of exclusive Lego sets which are typically limited to Comic-Con, Star Wars Celebration, Grand Openings and Special Lego Anniversaries.
It was so exclusive that all the Lego stores were required to send back any sets that were not picked up by the invitees so they could be given out to random fans who registered for a giveaway a few months later when Lego released the updated Death Star!
This set brings back all the great memories of watching Star Wars The Empire Strikes Back in the theater.
The box feels like a premium product and the absence of a set number only increases its exclusivity. The box is a must have as the art work is quite unique for a Lego set.
This is a must have if you are a passionate Star Wars collector or rare Lego collector. This set is becoming increasingly rare. Prices have been all over the board. Most have sold for $250-$300 but a few lucky collectors have scooped up these at $100.
I expect that because of the exclusive nature of this Star Wars set, we will see prices and collectibility increase every year. This is especially true now that Disney owns the rights for Star Wars. We will likely see a new Star Wars movie every year for the next 10 years.
Grab one of these if you can get your hands one one!
