Slow Zahn
As an avid Zahn reader I was very surprised by the pace of this book. Zahn ties together several groups in this adventure into a very exciting climax to the story, but the back stories building up to the finish are very prolonged and do not build a real sense of suspense. Also trying to make believe that Stormtroopers are torn in their duty after years and years of mythology to the contrary just doesn't quite sell. After the first half of the book sets up all of the plots and sub plots, Zahn then becomes his normal action packed self, with this part of the book being a true joy to read. Not his best work but still worth your time.

Sherlock Holmes Makes a Mistake
1 personnes sur 1 ont jugé cet avis utile. In this particular episode Rathbone and Bruce are at their impeccable best with their sense comradeship, fairplay, friendship and timing. The story actually has Holmes doing something that causes a crime that happens right in front of Inspector Le Strade. This causes Holmes to be in a situation of having to save face in front of Scotland Yard. The backround of the story is done very well and the screenplay was very well written to bring the story into a more modern day London. If you like Sherlock Holmes matching wits against nefarious, insidous villians you will love Sherlock Holmes and the Pearl of death.

Happy Gilmore meets Anna Nicole Smith vs. The Rock

You cannot be thin skinned because while you are learning how to read the greens and make putts the announcer will rake you over the coals. Comments about your manhood and your ability to function in polite society abound. You get too far off the beaten track then after a couple of wayward shots it is time for WWE RAW. The girl on girl action is particularly interesting. The costumes are smoking hot and the women who wear them are hotter. It all adds up to one pleasant pleasurable escape fest.
