The camera to have with you at all times - Nikon COOLPIX S560 10.0 MP Digit
I bought two of these cameras recently, because I owned one previously. I broke the previous one by falling on it. This camera takes clear in focus pictures. Easy for a novice to use, has lots of good options for the more advanced user.Battery lasts quite a while, all though I all ways carry a spare with me. Old camera lasted me about 3 years, heavy, heavy use, carried around in shirt pocket, pants pocket, hanging off turn signal handle in truck. Dropped more than a few times. Left in snow overnight once. I finally did start having a problem with the lens not extending out all the way for zoom shots. Most likely this was caused either by dirt having found it's way into the lens mechanism, or by being dropped one time too many.
About the only thing I dislike about the camera, is the sound recording option. To me serves little useful purpose, since can not record sound and shoot still pictures at same time.
I kind of hate to recommend the camera, since I intend to buy me a couple more to have as spares for years to come, and I don't need the buying competition.
But, I believe it's an excellent little camera. I might consider a newer one, but for keeping with you all the time, this is the one to go with.
