Very Good Quality - Educate yourself on which options you need most before buying bundle
2 personnes sur 2 ont jugé cet avis utile. I am new to wood turning so trying to acquire some new accessories and tools for my lathe. I realized that a 4 jaw chuck would be very useful after watching a number of tutorials as most of the pros used these in various ways. The Nova chuck is heavy and built nice. You can tell the quality is good by holding it. The jaws move in and out very smoothly. I have used it a few times now with no issues at all. The bundle was a good deal compared to buying all the parts separately. I did realize after the fact that to turn a bowl, I would need some kind of setup to re-chuck the bowl in order to finish the bottom. I ended up buying a Cole Jaw set by Nova that works with the jaws fro the bundle kit I bought. I found out later and after knowing a little more, that Nova has a bundle which includes the Cole Jaw instead of the 100mm larger jaw set. That bundle would have probably been better for me as a beginner but now I just have more jaw sets and more options! Can never have enough tools, right? The Cole Jaws will actually bolt onto the chuck behind the 50mm jaws so you don't have to change them back and forth making turning a bowl or other hollow item much more convenient. My 5 star rating stands on the original bundle because I found the chuck to be heavy and of very good quality. All the parts matched up and went together smoothly. For small to medium work and even some larger work, this bundle set will work great.
