QYT KT8900 Transceiver UHF/VHF
I purchased this transceiver to replace my handheld, because I needed something that had a bit more power to get to the local repeater. It has worked out better than expected. The build quality is very good and the moving of the programing port to the front of the radio is a great improvement.
The only problem that I have found is that the off switch does not remove the power from the radio, so if your running on battery power, you need to disconnect the battery.
But for the price point of this radio I don't think any one can go wrong with the purchase of this radio.
