Great album- get this and Cave In's new release White Silence
I knew that there were a few Cave In CD's that I did not have, but I didn't realize that one of them (Perfect Pitch Black) would be one of my favorites.
This album was released after their RCA effort, Antenna, and showcases their return to a heavier sound. I believe the mix between heavy and moderate rock is displayed successfully, and I like the fact that tracks were mastered at New Alliance Studios in Boston - a place I've recorded at and is top notch!

Once in a LIVEtime...ten years later
This album is a must for a Dream Theater fan. It offers a newer, LIVE perspective on songs that were recorded with that dreaded " 80's " mind-set (ie reverberated snare to hell and back, as well as triggered sounding drums and cymbals).
I originally had this album and had misplaced it at some point, and I had recently remembered how "bad ass" the Puppy's on Acid track sound...so I needed to get this album again. For $3, how could I pass it up! Thanks again.
Oh, and it's condition was superb!!!!

A Masterpiece of Fusion
This 2003 release was not in my current Karsh Kale collection for some unknown reason- probably because I couldn't find a physical copy anywhere! Yes, it's weird that I still buy CD's though the mp3 format is so easily accessible, but I think that it's important to have a medium with artist/musician credits and artwork. Enough about my quirky outlook- "Liberation" is a wonderful collection of this artist/producers work in the Asian underground meets Western underground.
Kale plays a live drum kit, tabla, and programs electronic compositions in such a manner that I am thankful for such an artist to have that range of talent. All musicians he works with are at the top tier and the female vocal is astonishing.
I do not know a word of what is sung, but the melodies that this album have fashioned really allow the listener to feel comfortable and able to access the soundscape without any confusion. Unbelievable.
