The mantles have long ties, easy to mount and adapt to any lamp gas outlet. Simple and easy, it works as advertised.

An able, price-worthy, and beautifully made instrument.
The Mares Smart is sometimes described as a "beginner's dive computer", but as always, it will greatly depend upon who is using it. This device records and corelates almost all relevant data and displays the proper activity suggestions on its simple and well visible screen. The "almost" here refers to its lacking of electronic compass and wireless tank integration, but otherwise is complete. On the good side, that's why it remains uncluttered and easy to follow.
The Smart has several kinds of alarms, of course, and cautious divers are also given the ability to set it to more conservative level, which might be a good idea if one is not planning the dive very precisely, or sure to tollow the pre-planned procedure.
Its operating modes include Air and/or Nitrox diving, freediving, or simply use it as a "bottom timer"... whatever your needs or preferences.
It does not make much sense to describe the whole range of the device features - whosoever is interested in it can download and study the Smart's Manual for more.
Let's just add that the Smart is a beautifully designed, and can even be worn as a regular timepiece (although a bit on the large side). Its range of colorful versions makes it suitable for every taste. Regarding its price, it is yet another factor that makes it highly interesting, compared to many other dive computers.
