acheron by sherrilyn kenyon
usually I start with the back of the book says: but in this case, if you have been reading the dark hunter series then you know who acheron (ash) is and this is his autobiography sorta. It's over 700 pages in length, the first 428 pages are the most heart wrenching fiction you will ever read, like some of the earlier dark hunter stories ash has a tragic past, however his is the most tragic of all the darkhunters, although ash is a god and the 2nd half is in line with her normal dark hunter story. it's good, i wonder how long it will be for nicks story..........

sue grafton o is for outlaw kinsey millhone a 1980's gum shoe detective
flap says. the call comes on a monday morning from a guy who scavenges defaulted storage units at auction. the weekend before he bought a stack of cardboard boxes. in one, there was a collection of childhood memorabilia with kinsey name all over it. for 30 bucks, he was offering kinsey the lot. first of all, i'm grateful that after 14 books sue finally decided to tell us that the books all take place in the 1980's. which explains my fustration with the lack of computers and cell phones as time goes on. sometimes i feel that these would save kinsey ALOT OF TIME and might actually save her life a time or two. this book deals with her first husband, where we finally get the story behind this marriage and it's very intriguing, and i often wonder why mickey didn't fight the divorce or try to talk to kinsey about it. how she could just walk away cold like that, and never look back, was really cold of her. i think this is the best book of the series thus far,

temptation of a proper governess by cathy maxwell
back of book says: michael severson doesn't see isabel halloran as a governess he sees her as a woman, one whose lush curves cannot be hidden behind a dowdy gown and whose efforts at hiding her sparkling intelligence are betrayed by her wit. years before, michael had left regency england falsely accused of a crime. now he is back dedicated to seeking retribution but not to taking a bride but when his scandalous actions compromise isabel's reputation he does the unthinkable and offers her his hand in marriage inname only. this book is good because: the characters like each other from the start. the story flows and doesn't have that wandering around a maze feeling in the middle, you actually can follow the path to the end, yes there are a few little twists that keep you guess who the real villian is and that is good, and there are really no major breaking up for your own good. i don't like the sister in law mooching. but the characters don't seem to mind. i like the priest and his wife. they are really nice. i like the fact that there is interaction between the two characters and i did not have to wait until the end for the consumation. i like when it happens in the middle or earlier. i don't like the ones where we have to wait until the end for the consumation. i like the characters to have some connection, some hand holding, kissing etc. it's unsettling to go from cold turkey to hot and heavy...... ok, on to the price of indiscretion
