Marbled plastic
Pencil is outstanding. Disappointed in the plastic quality. Has streaks that should not be there.

Great Nikon Product
Excellent turret design, and size. The 30 mm tube puts Nikon back up with some of the other high end manufacturers. The 1" tube just appeared too wimpy and did not transfer adequate light. The 50 mm objective pulls in tons of light. The turrets and magnification knobs are very tight, but will hopefully loosen up a little with use. The only complaint as of now is the windage turret marks do not line up. Minor imperfection that may be correctable. Not sure yet. In general, this scope is outstanding for the price. The glass is a good as the Zeiss Conquest.
