Very WEAK cooktop. Control knob SMOKED the first time!
We bought this for camping to boil water for corn on the cob. Big disappointment!! It looks very nice but won’t bring a pot of water to a rolling boil in fact barley gets the water warm at all. Even after being on high for 10 minuets.
First time I turned it on smoke rolled out of the on off control knob and the base got so HOT I was unable to touch it. Not safe!

I use it every day! It is a GREAT unit I love it!
