Children of Men
0 personnes sur 1 ont jugé cet avis utile. This film is frightening, yes there is a lot of violence, but that is not what is frightening, it's the reality of what could and almost is true right now!
The actors are mainly well known, but cast in such a way, that they don't become all consuming, you don't watch this and think so and so was good, you finish watching this and you sit and think! I am still thinking and telling others about this important "docu-film" three weeks atfer watching it.
The way it has been captured on film by the director and film crew is astounding, at points you feel you are there, well in ways we are, 20 years is not long into the future at all.
I heard someone call it "Bladerunner" for the 21st century, I actually feel it's more than that, watch it and you tell me!

All That Jazz!
4 personnes sur 4 ont jugé cet avis utile. I decided to purchase this DVD a long time ago, after seeing the original stage show in London, just that it took me a while to do it!
It is a moralistic story about corruption, murder and prohibtion in 1920's Chicago. It centers around three main characters, which are played by brilliant and accomplished actors. There is plenty of other interest too and the music, if you like jazz, is superb, the costumes are also excellent and true to the period.
The DVD is very true to the stageshow, but there is slightly more depth on the DVD, which I suppose would be too difficult to reproduce on stage. I am very glad thatI bought this DVD and it is something that I could watch several times.
Buy it you will love it too!
