Oxicat Worked !!
I received Oxicat in the mail and decided to do a before and after test. My car is a 1999 Honda Accord 2.3L . First I did a hand feel test of the exhaust flow out the pipe and I noticed that it did feel kind of weak. Second I used an Infrared thermometer and took a test of the temperature of the inlet pipe and outlet pipe of the Catalytic Converter. The pre-test showed a measurement of 343 Degrees on the inlet pipe and 400 Degrees on the outlet pipe. I started off with 1/3 tank of gas and poured in 1/2 the bottle of Oxicat and drove about 110 miles. I use my car at work as a Courior so this worked out great for me. The next day I filled to 1/2 of a tank and poured in the other half. At the end of my route or another 110 miles I ran another temperature check like before and I could not believe it. The inlet pipe measured roughly the same but the outlet pipe measured between 440-460 degrees. Also I should mention that before I ran my tests I was getting a check engine light code p0420. I also cleared the code prior to running my tests and ever since I did that the check engine light has never come back on. I did a hand flow test again and could tell that the exhaust was flowing a lot better. The fact that the outlet temps have increased along with better flow shows that this Oxicat made a big difference for me. : ) I Believe Oxicat has worked because my Cat was not 100 % blocked if yours is at that stage, then this might not work for you. If you get a p0420 code and yet can still feel some flow out the exhaust then by all means give Oxicat a chance. My advice would be to follow the same procedure I did by using 1/2 can per 1/3 tank and try not to dilute it so much. Another is you need to drive it a-lot like I did for this to work. Lee
