One of the better books on assisting the poor
This book explains one of the only productive ways to help bring people out of poverty. Affiliation with a local church helps with the sustainability of a program.
There are many celebrities who want accolades for handing over millions of dollars to help the poor and needy. Their money can not only fall into the wrong hands but gives the recipient the notion that they can live off of hand-outs. By following the treatises found in this book you might be able to give someone a "hand UP" instead of a handout.

1st of 3 in a series
The message of the book was excellent. Characters were well described and thought out. "Who did it" was not easy to identify. However, there were times that I put the book down and wasn't excited to continue. Depending on where I was in the book it either grabbed my attention right away, or I waded through the slower parts. I am looking forward to reading his 2nd and 3rd books in the series, "Dominion" and "Deception".

You will be unbelievably enlightened.
Henry Blackaby writes fabulous Bible study workbooks. This is the first one I did and I've reviewed it at least 3 times. The questions and references to scripture really make you think about God in a new way. I highly recommend it for believers at any level.
