New Medela SYMPHONY Breastmilk Initiation Kit Sterile Pump Parts 67350S BMI

If only Medela could take a page out of the Ameda playbook
First let me start by saying the Medela pump system is excellent - the very best there is. Even better than Ameda. ( you hear that Ameda? Hey! The 1940's called - they want their pump technology back! Do better guys!) That being said one thing that would make Medela even better would be adding diaphragms to the milking assemblies so milk and moisture doesn't get in the !@#$@ lines. That's just gross! and VERY unhygienic! This is the ONLY place Ameda beats Medela. I would also like to see the lines to the milking assemblies be longer - with the current length you almost have to put the pump in your lap to pump both breasts at the same time All of THAT being said, this IS the kit for the Medela symphony - the VERY best pump money can buy (and trust me I've spent months looking, and have had first hand experience with the Ameda Hospital grade too). EVERY OTHER PUMP OUT THERE IS A JOKE!!! You other manufacturers should be ashamed of yourselves - there is so much room for improvement! For the pumping experience with the Medela to be even better I would like to see diaphragms in the milking assemblies, lines that are twice as long, and a digital pump engine that is designed to deal with the larger excursions necessary to maintain suction with the longer lines and diaphragms. P.S. If you are considering using Ameda consumables with a Medela Pump, beware that you will have to turn the pump WAY UP to get the same suction (Possible reasons being: softer airlines going to the milking assemblies, softer check valves, and ironically the diaphragms in the milking assemblies), and this will make the pump work harder. (Which is why we elected to stay with Medela consumables for our pump. harder working pump = shorter life = BAD)
