Excellent adaptation at least as good as Hook
We really enjoyed this movie which isn't as well known as other versions like the classic Disney film or Hook with Robin Williams, Dustin Hoffman and Julia Roberts. The storyline is different enough from the others to make it interesting and the overall production is very good. Definitely worth watching if not owning.

Excellent overview of "one-hit-wonders" from the 60's to the 90's
I absolutely LOVE "one-hit-wonders" (even though on some compilations, the artists represented actually have more than one top 40 "hit"--depending on the music chart you are looking at, including this one). While there is no shortage of compilations of "one-hit-wonders" geared towards specific decades, this is the only one that I know of that compiles many of the best "one-hit-wonders" that covers 4 decades (the 1960's to the 1990's) on 2-discs and 44-tracks. An excellent overview of the subject songs with some tracks you won't even find on the decade-specific collections. And in general, many "one-hit-wonders" songs aren't usually easy to find at all. Highly recommended.

The best LRB album and one of the best overall in general....
Yes, I know what you're thinking based on the headline ("but this wasn't even "popular"...I've never heard of these songs"...etc.). Being a child of the 1980's, LRB was one of my favorite bands, as they were for so many others from the later 1970's to the later 1980's. But this album slipped through the cracks somehow because it is outstanding. I admire bands that explore other genres, expanding their repertoire of musical styles and this is the LRB album that does just that. The songs here include aspects of pop, rock, alternative/new wave, R&B/funk (listen to "The Rhythm King" and tell me they didn't "borrow" some of the melody from DeBarge's "Rhythm Of The Night"), and even country ("Shadow In The Rain" could have been an excellent line-dance song). Plus the return of lead singer Glenn Shorrock adds to the nostalgia of their glory days. If you are a LRB fan (or even just a music fan in general) this is a must have album. You're welcome.... ;>}}
