New film, the Treatment
The seller was very accurate in terms of this items description. I was interested in this film because I'm a big fan of Famke Janssen whom you may recognize from the x men films. Like much of her work, this one was a bit hard to find in the video stores. That's why I opted to take a chance and just buy it. The film not only showcases Janssens excellent talent as an actress, but it also put her in a slightly different light than moviegoers have seen her in before. Janssen portrays the role of a conflicted widow, Allegra Marshall who is dealing with custody issues following the death of her husband. In the midst of all of this, Allegra stumbles upon Jake Singer, a teacher at her son's school, and a whirlwind romance begins. With a bit of tounge in cheek humor as well as a touching emotional element, the film was most definitely an artistic success for producer/director Oren Rudavsky. It also introduced me to actors Chris Eigeman and Ian Holm(Lord of the Rings), whose catalogs I was fairly unfamiliar with, however both did an excellent job in making this humorous romantic comedy a real winner! I look forward to seeing more films starring these excellent actors in the future. The Treatment is an excellent date movie and a fine choice for anyone who is interested in a film that is witty and unique. A real breath of fresh air.
