A fun adventure game
1 personnes sur 1 ont jugé cet avis utile. Having played the Tomb Raider series for some time, I was anxious to get started on TR Underworld. The first thing players will notice are the excellent graphics and sounds. This game is packed with action and details, which makes it enjoyable through each of the levels. The puzzles, although not terribly easy, were not difficult unlike past versions. Each puzzle has a logical solution and I do not remember being dumbfounded or frustrated for days as in the past. Hidden treasures and the ability to hop from stage-to-stage after beating the final boss increase the re-play value. This was a fun adventure game, and worth the money.
LIKES:
-Graphics and soundtrack are awesome
-The environments are massive and immersible. You really get a sense of awe throughout different stages.
DISLIKES:
-New camera controls in this version are frustrating. It takes a while to get used to the controls, and I often found myself yelling at the camera during certain jumps and moves

Thief: Deadly Shadows Review
2 personnes sur 2 ont jugé cet avis utile. Last year I started with Thief: The Dark Project, and found that game to be so much fun that I decided to give this most recent sequel a try. The improved graphics, a city environment that allows you to rob homes and businesses, and a few other improvements set this game apart from its previous counterparts; not to mention a new storyline that honestly confused me at times. None the less, the missions are generally straight-forward and laid out for the player. I felt the plot was weaker with this game compared to the original, and perhaps the missions were a bit too "spoon-fed." Veteran Thief gamers who enjoyed the complicated puzzles and mazes of the original may be disappointed, but the game still delivers in other areas that make it worthwhile.
Likes:
- The environments are very immersible and realistic. Excellent graphics, music at appropriate points, and other improvements were enjoyable.
- It's a lot of fun robbing from the rich in this game
- The missions were generally fun and even down right "spooky" at times. There were two or three that definitely had me at the edge of my seat in suspense.
Dislikes:
- As a veteran player of this franchise, this version was a bit too laid out for me. I miss the intricate puzzles and mazes from the original. It felt at times as if the programmers were forcing me to go where they wanted me to be, and not because I discovered it on my own.
- The plot was confusing at times. Some of the vocabulary alone at times is almost a different language that those unfamiliar with the game may be confused and frustrated.
I would give it a 7 out of a possible 10 points.
