Great Book
This is a great book chronicling the background, battle, and aftermath of the decisive battle in the Europe during World War II. Ambrose writing style is a delight for any amateur historian of WWII. This book can be enjoyed by anyone wishing to learn more about D-Day. However, if you only want an brief introduction to the battle and its consequences, this may not be the book for you. For other great WWII books that offer a more concise history, you may want to check out: Citizen Soldier by Ambrose The Second World War by Keegan Empires on the Pacific by Thompson

Good Book
This is an excellent book that covers the background and events of WWII in the Pacific. Thompson's thesis is that America and Japan were both fighting for dominance over Asia (specifically China). While the "imperial" ambitions of the United States may be disputed, the book is excellent.

A Must Read for C.S. Lewis fans!
C.S. Lewis writes an amazing book that takes a look at what could have been if Adam and Eve would have resisted temptation and not sinned. The main character goes to Venus where he must help the first woman overcome temptation. Lewis paints a wonderful picture of life without sin and what it may look like to be made in God's image without any bend or imperfection that comes through sin. A great read!
