Ramones a fine live band to the end.
Ramones was exactly what you expected to the end. This live document of their last gig is a fine testament to the idea of going down before it's too late. Their playing is fast and tight as it should be. Joey's vocals are more growling than they were at their height. The guests don't add much, but i'm glad to find Dee Dee making an appearance. The only slight down side is Eddie Vedder. He sings (sort of) harmony vocals to Joey, but it's more Joey singing and Eddie trying to keep up than well rehearsed act. If you are looking for a fine live document from Ramones, you have it here. If you are looking for the best Live record from Ramones go for Legendary It's Alive.

not stones,but woody
I weren´t sure about buying this, not for beginners,Ronnie Wood´s first solo album after 1992´s slide on this, which was a disappointment. Recorded in the aftermath of his mothers passing,it´s got songs from his past, namely leaving here, which he recorded with his early band the Birds. With a connection to byrds with whom they had a tiff over their bands name, he´s included a version of the Byrds´ so you want to be a rock´n´roll star, here only titled rock´n´roll star. Ronnie´s former solo records have been more in rock band mode, this one has got a feeling of friends playing music to enjoy themselves. Acoustic instruments are to the fore, slide guitar especially being prominent. There are 4 instrumental songs included, wayside, hypershine, king of kings and interfere which has got nice jazzy feeling. With modern recording techniques Ronnie´s voice hasn´t aged badly, but his singing is still a required taste.Works for me. This what a solo record should be, not rejects from one´s main band ,but songs that can be identified with a member of the group, still different enough to make an album in it´s own right. Not for beginners isn´t Ronnie Wood´s best solo album, that honour still belongs to his first set,I´ve got my own album to do. this is far better than Slide on this. I´d say this is his second best, just above 1234 and Gimme some neck. (mind you,i haven´t heard,Now look or Slide on live)

Not a follow up album
This album is a slight change of style from for example At My Age. It is a bit more rootsier though not roots music. The songs are good with the exception of Restless Feeling which i frankly thought was awful. Lyrically Nick is still sharp and witty.
