Great Game! Fun times!
Bought this feeling nostalgic for my younger years. I played the **** out of this game when it first came out and was hoping to relive those fun times. With a little help from the Quakeone website I was able to get it up and running on Windows Vista and it was just as much of a blast as it was back in the day. A true classic of the FPS genre.

Fun Stuff
I was a huge fan of the original Quake and played it to death when it came out. Was feeling nostalgic as of late and bought another copy. Took a while to get it to play on Vista but finally got it going and played it out again, all the way through nightmare skill level. Decided to give this a try as my Quake juices were now fully flowing again. Getting it to download and play was quite a challenge but with a couple hours of research and trusty old Google, finally got it running (you need to also install the Darkplaces patch as this will not only give the game a superior engine to run on but also allow you to play in widescreen mode). All I can really say about the game itself is, if you love Quake you will dig this game. It retains the same feel of the first game and gives you plenty of hours of fun as you work through the different skill levels. A few new enemies, upgrades and a new weapon, the lightning gun (very cool).
