Bailout Over Normandy: A Flyboy's Adventures with the French Resista - VERY GOOD
07 sept. 2021
Too Little Action
Actually, I haven't finished it and I probably won't. Very little action. Mostly about hanging out with bereted Frenchmen while drinking gallons of Calvados wine and smoking roll-your-owns. Yawn.
Horatio Lord Nelson Hardcover Brian Lavery

He Did His Duty!
Nelson was someone who I always wanted to know about. This book satisfies that desire quite well without being so long as to become a "project." One important negative: the map illustrations are too small to be useful.
The Wright Brothers - Hardcover By McCullough, David - VERY GOOD

Everything is Right with The Wright Brothers
To me, this is David McCullough's best book. The Wright boys and their family are brought to life by this beautiful narrative, so well researched and yet not overwhelming in detail. Great pictures too. But this book is as much about American values in the early 1900s as it is about the invention of the airplane. Be sure to get a copy of it!
