I started collecting mainly baseball cards around 1986. I have been selling sportscards on eBay since 2016.
Growing up in the 80’s I fell in love with cardboard cards with pictures on them. Yes baseball cards. I couldnt wait to spend my allowance every week on magical packs of cards and stall gum. Hoping to pull a Don Mattingly or Kirby Puckett.
Going into a card shop in the 80’s was something to be seen. You would see a long row of case’s with cards I never could afford. Behind the counter tons of wax packs to buy going back to the 70’s. You would also see tons of binders of every set. You would sit a table and find your missing cards to build a complete set. The joy you felt when you bought that last card to complete a set was so exciting.
The problem with buying online no one is selling cards in a way to help someone build sets or chance to collect their favorite player. Most card sellers charge to much for shipping or won’t list under a dollar ie commons.
