    My story…unfortunately, as so many couples do, I went through a divorce. I was married for almost thirty years and having never obtained a four-year degree, my options were very limited to say the least. As an older Hispanic woman seeking a position without a current job, it was difficult to even land an interview. Therefore, with the money from the divorce I decided to start my own business. When the time came to find a name for my brand, I thought of a word that might motivate and encourage me. The Spanish word reflejar means to reflect on or to contemplate. Not only was it an inspiring word to help me get the drive to design and produce products, but it is also a reflection of my Latina heritage. And so, the brand REFLEJ@R was created along with the beginning of a new chapter of my life.
