Amulet, Votive tablet is an ancient artifact and has been made since the beginning of Buddhism. Buddhism came to Thailand in Dhavaravati Kingdom. The creation of amulet or votive tablet is for inherit religious. The creation of amulet and votive tablet has been changed due to various factors. The creation in Srivijaya period for inherit religious changed to for merit dedication to the dead and accumulating merit for being Bodhisattva in the future. In Ayutthaya period, the creation of amulet and voting tablet is for prosperity, holiness and destine to various vigor and carrying in the war for spiritual anchor in stead of old type talisman such as Prachiad (inscribed cloth tie to the arm or sacred neck wear) Takrud (sacred rolled brass), Later in Rattanakosin period, there was a change in Buddhist concepts, creating a votive tablet to be used as a talisman became more popular. The amulet made for belief and faith in these various aspects of the Buddha is called "amulet".
