Jack Nickolson gives a great performance which is low on special effects and high on emotion. New take on an old theme that humanizes the characters. The idea of heightened senses and new found confidence. The premise that the one infected by the wolf not by his bite, but also by passion. I enjoyed this film when I first saw it and really wanted to add it to my collection. Great cast Jack Nicholson, Michelle Pfeiffer, James Spader and Christopher Plummer.

None other than the great Mike Nichols directed this beautifully-scripted, deftly-acted 1990s spin on the classic werewolf story. Jack Nicholson is at his urbane best as soon-to-be-ousted publisher Will Randall, for whom taste and integrity have become a liabilty. After receiving the bite of an enormous black wolf, however, Will's senses (and his fortunes) begin to improve exponentially, triggering a series of chilling encounters. Michelle Pfeiffer, the prickly daughter of Will's new mogul boss, is at once drawn to Will's increasingly odd behavior. James Spader is a pure delight as the transparent, sychophantic usurper Stuart Swinton who schemes to steal Will's job, his wife, his newfound love and in the end, his life. Their final conflict is both memorable and satisfying. Doug NaselroadLire l'avis complet
Classic Movie. So Many versions of the Wolf Man. In this particular, one, The Wolf Man;s Face, is devoid of excessive Special Effects. The Acting is Spot On.

anything that Jack Nicholson is in is usually always good...and in this movie he doesn't disappoint...this movie get right into it from the start...excellent cast...I wish there was more from the Kate Nelligan's Character, I really enjoy her as an actress especially in the 1979 Dracula...Michelle had a solid performance...and I am not a James Spader fan...but he too had a solid performance on this one...and thumbs up to Christopher Plummer...the support cast on this one was good too except the detective and his partner in this one...Rick Baker's Make up Effects for this movie was BANG on...the werewolf look was not over done and was a lot more relaxed compared to other werewolf movies, but came across very effective...it was all in the EYES with this movie...the animatronics on the wolves could of been done better they came across looking to Disney like that is why i did not give this movie a 5 star... but well written with a strong story line...if Mike Nichols made a sequel to this I would definitely go see 4**** Stars out of 5 on this oneLire l'avis complet

One of the few films to deal with the werewolf syndrome, Nicholson plays an excelent role as he wreaks total terror as only he can do upon the ever-beautiful Michelle Pfeifer. Great film for all the horror/science fiction buffs, well played and directed, with edge-of-the-seat suspense, and a plot with many surprise twists and turns. Reccomended watching during full moon! Two-Thumbs-Up! 5 STARS*****
