JBL Control1 Pro
I am presently using them as monitors for keyboards. When I switch to a MIDI unit that offers a whole host of Bass instruments, I have to be careful on lower frequencies not to push them to hard. The amp used is the Crown D-75A which puts out about 55 watts. The speakers may take 150 watts but trust me, 15 watts at low frequencies will move a lot of air with a very noticeable "Chuffing" sound coming from the ports. Aside from that, very nice! JBL never lets me down
I am a long time JBL'er. This pair of speakers was 2 of the 6 that I bought to update my surround system. They were easy to mount on the wall and the sound quality is crisp and clear. The JBL surround system that I was using still was still a great sounding system, it pales in comparison with the new speaker set up. I joined these speakers up with 2 JBL Sub 100P subwoofers and most recently a JBL Loft 20 center channel speaker. Surround heaven! I'm never looking back.I am a long time JBL'er. Jbl control 1 pro speakers are still the best
Hi to all, i bought many pairs of this speakers and i still use this speakers as nearfiled monitors in many radio production studio (i work in broadcasting business), since the times when the video monitors usually were crt type: the near filed monitors had to be absolutely magnetic shielded as the control 1 are. In my opinion Control 1 are the best choice for the price, are good sounding, robust, good to see. Great sounding speakers for their size and price.
Extremely accurate and capable speakers, especially considering their size and price range. They are quite rugged, and shielded. I use one pair for my car stereo and another in the house. Note that these "Pro" version speakers are 4 ohm, and not all amps can take full advantage of them. I also use the very similar 8 ohm JBL Control 1 "Extreme" speakers as the main speakers in a surround sound setup. They have impressive and clean base for their size, but do sound better with a sub-woofer.Extremely accurate and capable speakers, especially considering their size and price range.
