Wow!
Heard about this on NPR and looked for it the same day. Read it in one night. It took the author 20 years to research and draw this graphic novel. He wanted to make sure the timeline was correct. Nothing earth shattering in this. Just a comic book history of a serial killer's high school experience.

An incredible look at a troubled child
It is often easy to describe people like Jeffrey Dahmer as a monster or evil, and indeed his actions were monstrous and evil, but somewhere before that there was a teenager struggling with many issues. This book attempts to look at the Jeff the teenager, and what he was like before the blood lust and it does a fantastic job at that. This book shows how Jeff was isolated by his classmates, his teachers, and even his own family when he needed them the most. This book shows Jeff as a tragic figure and covers his life before the murders. If you want a brilliantly illustrated look at a troubled social outcast, then this is a great book. A look into Dahmer's Adolescence
Im proud to say I own the movie and the novel! My Friend Dahmer is very compelling and will give you chills after you read it. Gives you the insight through a young man dealing with many problems throughout his youth with his mental state crumbling, you feel real bad for the kid after seeing how it all affects him to the point of going over the edge after his parents divorce. He had no one to tell these things to, and its like the whole town knew, but refused to do anything because they were afraid. I was also surprised to learn that the movie was filmed on the entire property of his actual childhood home in Ohio. However, a lot of things are also in this movie that we can never truly factually confirm since its coming from somebody else point of view. (Like visiting the vice ... Im proud to say I own the movie and the novel! My Friend Dahmer is very compelling and will give you chills after you read it. So interesting
I loved this. I'm very interested in the dark side of humanity and this book is a great look into what makes a serial killer.

Great unique read
Before reading I thought it was just a book, but to my surprise it was much more, a comic book. It was a very good read. If your into these sort of topics it will not be disappointing.
