The classic Real Estate Trading Game re-invests in the console space in 2008, with Electronic Arts rolling the dice. This interactive edition of Monopoly features smooth 3D graphics, expressive animations, and ten stylized game boards with themes such as jungle, arctic, and future. The game's World Edition game boards are based on real-life world capital cities, and bonuses are unlocked as players fill up their virtual passports by playing in each one. For fans of the original, all classic rules apply in the original mode of play.<br><br>The 2008 edition also introduces a "Richest" mode, which is a more fast-paced, party-game styled approach to Monopoly. Players compete in mini-games to earn dice rolls. Dice roles determine the number of properties the player is dealt each turn. The player takes possession of any unclaimed properties that are dealt, but pays rent on any properties that are owned by another. Rent is paid in properties, and monopolies raise rents, so mini-game skill and fast-paced property trading drive the "Richest" mode.

Great Purchase
The game overall didn't age well as far as graphics go but the quality of the game is still great. It's tons of fun with both the original Monopoly game, along with a "quick mode." It comes with mini-games and the chance to unlock unique boards for a different experience. There was some glitches but there could be a myriad of factors as to why it had the glitches. Monopoly (Wii 2008)
I decided to purchase the game since my granddaughter who is 12 loves the regular board game. Mr. Moneybags, the talking character, is kind of annoying after awhile since he repeats the same phrases non-stop. Getting around to your turn with 4 players can be a bit time consuming so I've learned to play Cubis Gold on my laptop and push the pause button when it's my turn. It does help get the family into one room to interact and during our Monopoly play time there's less t.v. viewing time. I think if they were to put out a revised edition they could definitely work on setting it up to have one player play against a faux player otherwise just have real players play against each other without the faux players to reduce the amount of time it takes to play the game and make it more ... Classic MONOPOLY play against an unforgiving Wii computer that will even have Computer players conspire against you! Fantastic! the graphics are a bit weak, but not crucial for this gme to be honest

It's ok, as long as you don't mind losing!
I really wanted to like this game..I mean, who doesn't love the classic board game? It has its attributes, such as not having to move your game piece (good for us lazy players:) You get to sit in a comfy chair..push buttons & shake your remote (aka:dice) But..then the frustration begins. My family and I have played this several times using the different options available and all I can say is the computer folks always seem to win. It doesn't matter how many properties I (or my family)own, 'cause the computer people are never gonna land on them! Yet, we always land on the computer's properties until we're bankrupt - that is...when we're not sitting in jail! LOL - Those who have played know exactly what I'm talking about here! I can't honestly recommend this one...unless things suddenly begin to change drastically the longer we play it! Good luck!

Wii monopoly
Rented this game from local video store many times because my 6 year old loves to play it. Decided it was time to buy it. Daughter loves it, no surprise there. Recommend this game to anyone who loves playing monopoly and with this there is no clean up associated with playing the original board game.
