    AT&T CL2939

    The phone is very good and easy to use, all the features work very well. The only drawback is it does not light up like in the pictures. The screen is grey and in very low light or dark conditions it is almost impossible to read. It has large letters and numerals and a tilt screen which make it very easy to read under normal lighting. I am purchasing a second one for my home as I think its a very good buy and has lots of features I use. I rate it very good but not excellent because the screen not lighting up.

    The AT&T CL2939 is a Great Phone

    I was tired of buying cheap phones that just did not last or lacked functionality. I got four one of these and I love the phone. The best thing is the LARGE and visible caller id display. Next is the ease of setting the menus. Their intuitive nature means that you can readily use all the phone's features without studying the manual. The only thing I think the phone lacks is a backlit display. In a dark room you may need to turn on a light to see the display easily. The display tilts up for easy visibility on a desk and the phone can be wall mounted by flipping a hinged part of the base. That hinge-mount means that you can't lose the base. The speaker is loud and clear and the large buttons make this a very accessible phone. Finmally, a quality phone at a great price.

    It's a phone, DUH!

    I needed a land-line phone that had caller ID and did not depend on an external power source. It has worked well although there are a few features which I have found to be counter-intuitive. Evidently, I will have to read the manual to master the redial feature and caller-ID log management. Other than those minor issues, I've been pleased with the phone's operation and the entire purchasing arrangement.

    Nice Phone

    A great phone with a lot of nice features. I bought it for the speakerphone option as I need my hands free for the computer associated with my work. It works great and people can hear me just fine. There's far more features than I'll use as it seems to be geared more to a business application. I really like it! I had a GE Wal-Mart special before and there's really no comparison. Time will tell as I use a phone quite a bit.

    A great phone with caller ID for the visually impaired.

    I found a phone simular to this at a local thrift shop for $10. It was a Durabrand with a large LCD readout, it is not back lit. I could not find the Durabrand or even one simular locally. I bought this AT&T phone, which has the same features for my folks who are in their 80s; my dad has macular degeneration. They are able to read this and tell who is calling them. They have two wireless satellite phones with smaller print that Dad cannot see. This was an excellent phone for them.
