Worked Good.
The parts are strong and should work well for the repair. The failing point is always going to be the molded plastic hinges. Beware! the repair is not as easy as the Youtube videos make it look. The pins that need to be removed holding the hinges are knurled and inserted with some kind of mild adhesive from the factory. They won't just slide out with out some serious persuasion. Also some two part epoxy is almost mandatory to help strengthen the repair. Take your time watch video more than once and have tools ready. You will be fine. Prepare yourself for a fun filled 4hours
The curved part of the repair bracket was spot on. The flat part, well have fun! The inside of my glovebox was curved so a flat piece of fairly substantial metal needed to be reworked to accommodate my curved inside. Got than done and installed. Only to find that the heads af the screws stuck out to the point if interfering with the door opening and closing. Time to grind off some material of the screw heads to make the clearance. Reassembled only the find that the pieces of metal were a tad to wide. Now I’m getting good at disassembly! Grind off the overlap of the plates and reassembled for the final time. I don’t blame the seller as they are just reselling someone else’s product, but if I were to do it again, I would be looking for a bracket that was curved on both ends. Lastly, even ... A screw broke
The small screws aren't black and one of them broke. In my case, the closest to the middle of the metal piece, making it lift because all the weight is supported by the other screw. It still work if you want a quick fix but won't last. The angle of the metal piece isn't as big as it should be to perfectly fit so you might want to put a thick epoxy layer between the hinge & the metal piece & not screw all the way down.The small screws aren't black and one of them broke. worked great!
Easy to install and worked great!!! Would say to anyone who is thinking about fixing their glove box knows the dealer price is crazy. This kit is extremely affordable and a fantastic value. Simple instructions on how to do the install and after all done, it worked out great.
