Nice idea and quality build, but...
The company builds a quality product and is very responsive. However, I find the chamber difficult to keep lit and that it needs continuous monitoring. With a Traeger grill the combustion fan in combination with the air pump immediately dispels the smoke from what has become a pressurized grill chamber so I haven't experienced much increase in smoke flavor during higher temp cooks. At low temp or for cold smoking there is an increase in smoke quantity but it seems to be harsh tarry smoke. The jury is out for me. Highly Recommend. Awesome product. Fantastic experience.
Was in a pinch when a local smoker was booked up and could not cold smoke the bacons I had curing in the fridge. Love my bacon cure but needed smoke to make it complete. I decided to go with the Smoke Daddy Big Kahuna as a compliment to my Sportsman’s Elite 44” propane smoker. I asked for expedited shipping because the longer the bacon cured the saltier it would be so time was critical. Was not optimistic about this working out in my favor. Well, someone at Smoke Daddy must have saw my note to expedite and saw the opportunity to help someone in need without explanation. I received 3 days earlier than what Smoke Daddy promised on EBAY. I was ecstatic And immediately installed the Big Kahuna in the center of the bottom door where the smoke is generated when hot smoking. This was day 11 of ... The Big Kahuna worked way past expectations. This thing on high produced so much smoke that I could not see the bacon thru the glass for the smoke. Thank you Smoke Daddy for expediting the process and turning my first cold smoking experience into an experience of a lifetime. The Bacon is some of the best I have created yet. If you like to cure and smoke meats, I would highly recommend you invest in one of Smoke Daddy’s cold smoke generators. You will not be disappointed.

Take your Traeger pellet grill to another level
I wanted to add a factory cold smoke box to my Traeger but really didn't want to add more length and I found this little gem.. Simple to install if your not scared to drill a hole. It really will roll the smoke if you want it to. I will say I don't have the backflow issues like the other customer who bought one but my draft cap on the stack of my grill is at its tallest setting and I have the Lil Tex model. I might say that even on the lowest setting it still rolls a good amount of smoke. I need to use it more but either looking at putting a tee in line so I can let more air off from the air pump or possibly plug one is the draft holes in the bottom cap... Great Cold Smoker
I love smoking meats. The Smoke Daddy allows me to smoke meat and finish it in the oven. Plus it also allows me to smoke my own cheese and add smoke while grilling other things. Great buy!
