    USED unit was faulty

    Bought this USED unit to replace a faulty one. Problem was not resolved. Went ahead and bought a brand NEW one instead of this USED one and everything worked perfectly! All units were of identical make and model. I must have gotten a BAD used unit. Not worth returning.

    Universal replacement does not always means plug and play.

    Once I installed it and connected the wires to the same terminals and adjusted the micro switches in accordance with the instructions provided, I was disappointed that the electronic ignition would not even attempt to light the pilot. After verifying that all other components worked I determined that the problem was in the new module. I then switched the wire from the one labeled “24V” to the one labeled “TH-W” and everything then worked and continues to work as it should. Disappointed that the instruction did not even mention this issue. My previous module did not even have a “TH-W” terminal.

    this module supersedes my old model number

    this module supersedes my old model number - there is a small modification required - it was quick and easy best of all - it solved the problem at a fraction of the cost -

    Haven't installed it yet

    Can't give you any information on it as I haven't installed it yet. What I can say is that it looks good and was delivered quite fast. The price was reasonable and That's all I can tell you at this point.

    Name brand replacement

    I bought this Honeywell control because my old one lasted a fairly long time. Hopefully this new Honeywell control will work a long time too.
