Product Information

The second game in Midway's arcade-style NHL Hitz series offers a franchise mode, complete NHL schedule, and a beginner's tutorial called Hockey School. The fast-paced action continues with the same three-on-three competition found in NHL Hitz 20-02, but the rinks are now larger and include an on-ice referee, bigger crowds, animated coaches, and functional scoreboards. The Season mode has been adjusted to accommodate trades, a playoff tree, deeper stat tracking, and individual player awards. <br><br>Six mini-games are also available for one or two players to test their skill in a variety of skating and shooting challenges. In addition to the 30 NHL teams and players with ratings based on the 2001-2002 season, NHL Hitz 20-03 features new fantasy stadiums, secret teams, and bonus players. A two-man announcing team handles the in-game commentary, and new motion-capture sessions were filmed to better re-create actual checking between two athletes. Players can also create their own stars using the separate Create-Player option.

Best PS2 Hockey Game?
Action is fast paced and fluid. Graphics are pretty darn sharp for a PS2 game. As the name suggests, you gotta learn to hit and poke check early or the AI will eat you alive. Playing on Rookie setting, slow pace, and still struggling to beat the AI. Must master the art of the deke, puck protect, one-timer, wrist shot, slap shot, dump in, fake shot to score. Opposing goalie is good, but so is yours. Lay players out with a cross check or knock them through the glass! Have your players catch fire or become energized by lighting! Announcer voice is exciting and lets you know when you can energize/catch fire! Tons of cool, historic, funny, kooky unlockables to find. There are few sports games I genuinely enjoy playing, but Midway, with its easy to pick-up-and-play formula has brought me into the world of football and now hockey. NHL Hitz 20-03 offers a couple fun, surprisigly deep, and customizable single player modes, while continuing to deliver its addictive multi-player games. I would only add that the models and textures, and the backgrounds and special effects are better than many hockey games out there. Prepare to be assaulted by awesome
NHL HITZ 2003 is quite possibly the greatest game in the universe, even the parts of the universe we haven't yet seen. If you had the choice to ride a dinosaur or play NHL HITZ 2003, you'd be a huge fool to ride a dinosaur instead of playing Gods gift to humanity. It has everything you can think of, plus more...really...it offers more than your imagination could handle! The pelvis breaking HITZ that are made in this game make you feel like your in a futuristic virtual hockey simulator! My Skates go off to MIDWAY, I often cry from joy from playing this game. Dont have any friends? Well that sucks, but you can still play some massive ONE PLAYER modes in this. Got Friends? GOOD FOR YOU! Challenge your weak spirited friends to a game of HITZ and watch them have a brain hemorrhage from the ... One negative is that I've gotten too swept up in the "life changing" awesomeness of the game, and ive accidentally stepped on my cat while celebrating a goal. The cat was okay. ALSO, you can create a character, something ive never seen in any game before or after this game was made. ONE OF A KIND TECHNOLOGY! Most people like to make themselves as created characters, but if you hate yourself, you can use all kinds of zainy characters like; pirates, knights, clowns, and mosquito eaters! Take that $75 you were gonna spend on God of War 3, throw away all but $3, and BUY YERSELF A COPY OF NHL HITZ 2003! FORK YEAH!

Incredibly fun Hockey Game... The Best of 2003
NHL Hitz 20-03 (Gamecube) What a great game, it's fun, exciting, and full of hitz. Not only is single player mode great, but multiplayer mode rocks. The NHL Hitz series offers a more arcade style of play, for the hockey fan who wants to have a little more fun. NHL Hitz 20-03 is the best game in the series. Pros: - World Tour Mode - Hundreds of Unlockable pieces of equipment and Create a Player accesories - Unlockable Arenas, Teams and Players - Tons of Hitting - Unlockable Teams from the Past - Learning curve is Short - Great Multiplayer game with friends - Create a Player Mode is actually pretty cool Cons: - Graphics can be a little choppy at times - Some challenges are hard to beat Final Verdict: 5/5 Rent or Buy: BUY!!!
