Strange settings to get it to work - after setting up/progamming it works fine
The user manual/installation manual "settings" on this stat are misleading. When you program the stat using the Setup Functions option you will get your AC and Heat to work BUT after setting a temperature and an hour or so elapses the temp will revert to an extreme energy saving mode i.e., 73 degree heat will revert to 58 degrees. 78 degree cooling to 85 degrees. In order to KEEP your chosen setting the "HOLD" button on the Touch Screen MUST be pressed. My set of installation instructions failed to mention this and it took me several hours of internet searches and phone calls to finally have someone describe and solve the problem. Without setting the HOLD function all settings are TEMPORARY and automatically revert to "Energy Saving". Otherwise the stat performs perfectly. This is a ... Since this is a "Special Applications" thermostat, Honeywell does NOT support it and will give you NO ANSWERS to any questions you may have about it or its installation or setup. Keep that in mind. This is probably just a Home Thermostat on steroids and it'll still lift a sack of groceries so to speak, but it'll use a lot more muscles while doing it.

Replacement unit
I used this unit to replace the same type unit that I damaged while cleaning and changing batteries. Light quit working. My old Honeywell was 10 years old. Don't get any oils or cleaners on the green screen and change the back up batteries yearly before they leak. Unit was easy to install and program to my needs. It comes with a factory program so it will work out of the box. I would buy and use this unit again on my A/C Heat Pump SystemI used this unit to replace the same type unit that I damaged while cleaning and changing batteries. Light quit working. Honeywell Thermostat
Disappointed because I received the thermostat and it was missing the coin cell battery holder. Could not get it to work and finally discovered it was missing. From what I can tell, everything else functions. But will not know for sure until I get the coin cell battery.

Outdated style
These are outdated very large, the lcd’s quit working frequently. I only buy them to match a wall of units on a large church on a budget. Otherwise I would order the new Honeywell T10 with the remote sensors.

TOUCHSCREEN PROGRAMMABLE THERMOSTAT
The backlit screen lights up the thermostat for easy viewing at night. You can program all 7 days with custom multiple temperatures intervals on the same day. The touch screen is nice and user friendly. It has air filter reminder that you can set monthly, 3months...etc.
