New book! I enjoy looking at 3D stereo images, some of the images are a bit faded (from originals that are over 100 years old). The authors of the book did the best they could do to scan them, interesting examples of the Civil War.

    Like taking a time-machine to the past.

    3D did not begin with Avatar... See what it looked like in the 1860s. An utterly extraordinary experience between two covers awaits the reader of this book. I had know of 3D Civil War images, oddly enough, because of some Viewmaster® reels I bought in the 70s. Still have them. But the scope and range of the images in this book will amaze! The series of Stereo shots of Pres. Lincoln is a true treasure trove. Naturally there are many shots of the devastation wrought by war. Including graphic images of the dead (long exposure times back then made the dead a perfect subject). Weather with muskets or Predator Drones, war is hell. This volume shows that in ways that will shock. All the sadness of the War Between The States (or, if you prefer, The War Against Northern Aggression) is here and ...
