    This book and my teenage daughter

    I bought this book because I wanted to better understand my sixteen year old daughter. Her friends are THE most important things to her. This book helped me to understand, not only the importance of social status to a teenage girl, but also where my own daughter stands within that social 'community' and how she behaves in her position. Learning these things gives parents the opportunity to talk with their daughter in order to ensure that she does what is right regardless of where she stands in the social order of her peers. I really enjoyed this book and feel that it was work every penny I spent!

    Queen Bees and Wannabes

    I liked how the book described in detail the pecking order in teen social situations. However, there is a lot of sexual content, more descriptive than I cared for, thus making it a book that I felt was inappropriate for my young teen daughter who is not in the "sex scene". I bought it because it was recommended by others struggling with teens and peer pressure.

    Queen Bees and Wannabees

    This was a requirement for the course I am taking. I might not have chosen this book othewise. I thought the descriptions of the different types of girls was interesting and some of the "land mines" were fairly interesting. But there was something about the tone of the book that bugged me. I think the author might have been a Queen Bee.

    Great book for understanding the life of girls!

    This is a great book for understanding the life of girls. Especially if your daughter is very different than you. It also opens your eyes to the kinds of things girls have to deal with and the stresses they are under.
