Explore the limits of your photographic skills with the Nikon D3300 HD DSLR with AF-S DX 18-55 VRII lens. With its 24.2-megapixel sensor, this camera can take stunning high-definition pictures in both still and video formats. While the Nikon D3300 falls toward the entry-level edge of Nikon's digital camera offerings, there is nothing entry-level about it. The camera comes packed with lots of features and extras. It is a great option if you've been looking to upgrade to a DSLR unit. The D3300 will capture your attention from the moment you pick it up. The bright red body with black accents stands out against the previous versions of this model, but that's not the only way this camera separates itself from the pack. The D3300 picks up largely where the D3200 left off in the Nikon lineup. The big difference between the two cameras is the EXPEED 4 processor on the D3300, which was Nikon's fastest processor at the time of its release. It increases the ISO sensitivity to a maximum of 25,600. As a video camera, it can record full HD 1080p at up to 60 frames per second, so you can film high-definition video without movement blur. Set it up with a tripod to film sporting events, celebrations, or your own short movie. It can also snap continuous still pictures at five frames per second, an advantage over the 4 FPS offered on the D3200. This camera type is perfect for beginners or seasoned shooters alike. You can set it to auto and let the camera determine the perfect settings for you, or disable the automatic flash. You can choose from pre-determined Scene Modes like portrait, landscape, child, sports, close-up, and night. The D3300 can also add special effects to your photos via the Effects Mode. Night vision, super vivid, pop, photo illustration, color sketch, toy camera, silhouette, HDR painting, or easy panorama help you to capture shots and bring your own artistic ability to the forefront. If you are interested in learning manual photography, you can switch to full manual control and experiment with different apertures. Set up your shot on the 3-inch screen, or use the viewfinder to look directly through the lens. Either way, the roomy screen gives you the ability to cycle through all of the image quality options, giving you full control over whatever subject you are shooting. Image quality and size, metering, ISO, white balance, flash and exposure compensation, focus, and autofocus are all accessed via the screen. In addition, the screen can be set to 11 stages of brightness and features a 160-degree viewing angle. Optional equipment can add Wi-Fi capability, and with a Nikon GP-1 accessory attached, you can easily geotag your photos and videos. The Nikon D3300 is fully compatible with all Nikon SLR lenses and teleconverters, and among the accessories kit included in the original packaging comes an 18-55mm lens. If the default lens does not work for you, just snap another lens onto your Nikon D3300 body.

    Nikon 3300 Series Digital SLR - A Solid Camera

    This Nikon is the nicest, best designed digital camera I've ever had. The quality is very good, including dramatic photo quality. This Nikon is also the heaviest digital I've had. Weight means it has solid guts, with good design features, not short cuts. The Nikkor wide angle zoom is terrific. It has solid design, and very usable features. This Nikon is top grade. Since this camera arrived in the mail I've gone on a photo safari every weekend looking for things to photograph. MHH

    Awesome!!

    This package has anything and everything that you need to immediately start taking high quality, professional pictures. I received it just in time for my Christmas trip to San Francisco and it was put to use right away. I read up on the features while on the flight out to California and with just a few minor issues of my own doing, I was comfortable taking lots of pictures. I highly recommend this package because of the value and the fact that you get a LOT for your money. I hope this helps if anyone out there is trying to decide on a camera. It's worth the money!

    Great starter camera

    I bought this camera for my wife. So far, we're both very satisfied with the image quality, ease of use, and abundance of features. The bundle pack was a fantastic buy. You get so many little things that you may not have realized right away or would have needed to place multiple orders in for. This way she was able to assemble, grab, and go start taking photos. I would highly recommend this camera. I use Nikon for all of my hunting optics due to their superb glass for the money and I think we've found a real winner in this camera as well.

    Manual?

    Bought this kit for a budding photographer, my 14 year old granddaughter. It came with a DVD on picture taking for the beginner, but no manual on the actual use and care if the camera. Going online gets questions answered but not when that beginner is in the field! Otherwise, great camera, good value, and my granddaughter now thinks grandpa is the best!!
