Great Product and worth every penny of cost in Laughs!!
I LOVE this first season DVD set. I own this and it is worth every penny we paid for it(you can get season DVD's usually for about a total of $30 if you shop around on eBay.) If you think about it, this actually isn't expensive at all. It is $1-2 per episode, which is well worth it as these hold their value and are very organized. We used to have piles of video tapes and replaced them with this DVD set and the others, and we LOVE it. We can easily find episodes and scenes that we want. We can find something that we want to see in a minute or less. Don Knotts developes and streamlines his hilarious skills in this first season DVD set. Between Barney's funny comments and actions, and Andy's calm, cool personality, the contrast make what I think is the funniest show in the history of ... I LOVE this first season DVD set. It is great seeing Andy, Barney, etc. do commercials for Post toasties and Sanka coffee. Each sponsor spot corresponds with the show that it was played with.

Very entertaining, takes me back to my childhood!
Reminds me of the simple life of my childhood. A life lesson to be learned in each episode. Quality programs appropriate and enjoyable for all ages, leaves you with an endearing feeling for the simple life of days gone by. Nothing on TV today is as enjoyable as this program!

Love this product and highly recommend it to others that love wholesome fun
I purchased three Andy Griffith DVD's. I will eventually have the whole set. I bought Andy Griffith because it represents the best time of my life-my childhood. I love the way it represents what life was like during those years. It was/is clean, entertaining family viewing. I watched it with my family along with millions of other families during that time. I still watch it daily on TV land and have the DVD's to carry along on trips in the car for fun viewing. In my opinion, Andy Griffith was one of the best shows of it's time and will never be beaten. Others may be as good, but none will be better. I feel like Andy's family was my family and I'm proud to admit it.I purchased three Andy Griffith DVD's. I will eventually have the whole set. We love Andy!
The Andy Griffith show is one of the absolute best family shows that was ever produced. My 10 year old daughter is crazy about the show & I actually bought this set for her. There is humor that can tickle the funny bone of every member of the family. There is never anything objectionable, so you don't have to sit there with your finger on the mute button if your kids are watching. I ahve seasons 1 & 2 now & plan to buy more. I love the dvd's because they have the WHOLE episode (TV cuts out a few minutes each time it is aired) and they also have extra little tidbits, like commercials that were done with the cast & odds & ends of trivia in the dvd cases. Overall, I highly recommend this product!
There remain very few shows today like the Andy Griffith Show. There are very few movies which can equal these shows in humor, good values, and being quite safe to watch. This show has long been my favorite show to watch and has remained so especially after getting the complete first season. For some reason I think the episodes in the first season are funnier than the episodes in the other seasons, but that's just my personal opinion.There remain very few shows today like the Andy Griffith Show. There are very few movies which can equal these shows in humor, good values, and being quite safe to watch. This show has long been my favorite show to watch and has remained so especially after getting the complete first season. For some reason I think the episodes in the first season are funnier than the episodes in the other seasons, but that's just my personal opinion.
