The final chapter in the Legend of Spyro trilogy, Dawn of the Dragon finds the purple dragon joining forces with Cynder, his former rival, to defeat the evil Dark Master and save the world. Once again the action is viewed from a third-person perspective set behind Spyro as he runs, flies, and glides across 3D worlds. An assortment of elemental attacks and combos are used to defeat whimsical enemies, and for the first time in the series, cooperative play is supported. Players can team up as Spyro and Cynder to complete challenges and solve puzzles throughout the main storyline. Cooperative play features a drop-in and drop-out system, allowing solo gamers to continue their progress if a friend decides to leave. A celebrity-filled voice cast features the talents of Elijah Wood, Gary Oldman, Christina Ricci, Wayne Brady, Blair Underwood, and Mark Hamill.

Good game, but way too many plotholes and cliches.
Bottom line: 'A dissapointment to fans of the Spyro series- missed oppurtunities and hopefuly the next installment (and the movie) fixes the series' Pros: Excellent graphics, great voice acting, interesting enemy and ally designs, can skip cutscenes anytime, can revisit levels, good cheats|Con: Doesn't feel like a true Legend of Spyro game, some odd envroments, fights are repititive, HEAPS of plotholes, cliche, missed oppurtunities, bad armour abilities Graphics and soundtrack are great. There are some interesting character designs but the characters' speech itself is dull and boring. In the 3rd level Cynder says "It's a trap!" after all these enemies come up,which is really obvious. Ignitus has a bad face now and the other guardians only get one line whereas Ignitus gets heaps of ... In the 4th level you have to rescue annoying little moles which give you a headache and talk really repetitively. The plotholes are noticable straight away. Why could the crystal Spyro and Cynder is in be smashed by a small enemy but nt by a mountain? I think you can find the rest of the plotholes. Overall, a good 'what if', but not good enough to conclude Spyro because of the constant dragdowns, but it has great graphics and music, and it's more realistic, but just doesn't feel right- Somethings missing. Oh, and one more thing, the achievements in this game are really fun to earn but it needs a 'Master of Earth' and 'Master of Fear'.

Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon (360)
I am a HUGE fan of spyro since I was 8 years old. This game is by far the best, although it kinda sucks its the last in the series. The graphics on the 360 for it are AMAZING. All the characters are updated and look great, Cynder is so cute. Spyro and Cynder both have their own individual abilities and elemental attacks that really set them apart but work great together as a team. I love how you can switch anytime between playing 1 and 2 players. What also made purchasing this game great was that it was cheaper on eBay than at GameStop and the person I bought it from described the item very well, and it came to me in better shape than he described. Best 2 player level game I have ever played. Buy it you won't be sorry.
Finally a spyro that 2 people can play! I'm in heaven! Play solo or with a friend in one big screen not split screen. Solo can also switch between characters. Only drawback in that sometime the camera can be kinda glitchy but not too bad to make me not give it 5 stars. Great graphics and so far pretty good story line. I would defiantly recommend this to old and new spry fans alike. I have plaid every spyro since the came out on ps1. And this is defiantly the best. My husband and I love to play together and that was all that was lacking in the other spyros I would say this is the complete package.Finally a spyro that 2 people can play! I'm in heaven! Great Game, give it a shot :)
I got this product because i missed the old Spyro games and thought that i should give this one shot :) Turned out to be a great game :) lots of fun action, and you could switch between the two main dragon characters. This game is pretty fun, but still does not compare to the old Spyro.
