Whether you are a casual Beach Boys fan or a hard-core collector, this is without doubt a must have and indispensable book. This is the best book that the authors have ever done. The layout is fantastic, very attractive and very easy to use. It is an extremely thorough and professional publication and long overdue. Not only does it list LPs, 45s, EPs, etc, but also includes exhaustive listings of cassettes, 8-Tracks, reel to reel tapes, CDs, Mini-Discs, etc, There are comprehensive solo and related sections as well. But it is so much more than a discography and price guide. The articles at the beginning are fantastic. Also, there are many "bonus images" throughout the book of some extremely rare items, such as the original Beach Boys surfboard, a Christmas card that Brian Wilson handmade for his Dad while in the 4th grade(!), concert posters and tickets, autographs, their first recording contracts and ... This is the best book that the authors have ever done. The layout is fantastic, very attractive and very easy to use. It is an extremely thorough and professional publication and long overdue. GOOD VIBRATIONS FROM COVER TO COVER A MUST HAVE FOR THE BEACH BOY LOVER
My signed copy of the ultimate book on The Beach Boys just arrived and i am amazed at all that is inside. Perry and friends once again make a top of the line price guide and so much more. The book itself is a Beach Boy's prized possession to own. super high quality book in a beautiful slip cover. The amazing photos inside are enough for me but the information is more than i thought was possible to include in one book. I thank Perry and all who put this treasure together and at such a reasonable price. Having it signed by an original Beach Boy makes me smile. It feels like a steal but don't tell anyone. I have mine so i can tell those who don't to own one. It's like a secret spot with 8 foot waves, slight offshore breeze and nobody out. Only 275 of the signed editions is so worth it. You ... My signed copy of the ultimate book on The Beach Boys just arrived and i am amazed at all that is inside. Perry and friends once again make a top of the line price guide and so much more. Blown Awaaaaaaaaayyyyyyy !!!!
WOW; What a work of art. My first observation besides the beautiful colorful hardback cover and quality of the color photo pages was the depth and amount of material covered. I was quite surprised that the "Beach Boys" would have that many items to cover. I can only imagine the working hours that went into this publication. I enjoyed the fore notes from the authors. It has already enhanced my interest in collecting Beach Boy's records and albums. We finally have a tool to assess value and make educated bids on everything Beach Boys. I will highly recommend it to my co-collectors. Great accomplishment. Ken JarrellWOW; What a work of art.
