Johnny is unafraid to confront the truth - his own frailties, his positive attributes and his circumstances. He is, in other words, not afraid of reality. Not afraid to discuss things frankly and show sensitivity besides. Mr. Lydon has contributed a great deal to music; the hype over persons in his first band and the image they fought with notwithstanding, the music of PIL and Sex Pistols, plus his own "Psycho's Path" show a man who is not afraid to experiment and do his utmost to be groundbreaking and original, to wonderful effect. His story is thought provoking, deep, and a sociological tome in addition to slicing away the "mythology" that swirls around this band - the hype that keeps some from investigating the music in lieu of letting this individual who lived it explain what ... AMAZING Book! The best ever on the topic of the Sex Pistols. Contains a lot of "insider" info & background on Sid Vicious. Rotten aka Lydon writes beautifuly & candidly, with his ever present sarcasm. He comes across as very likable actually. Interesting little know info about his wife and their history (she's beautiful by the way, there's a lovely pic of her towards the end of the book.) Highly Recommended for anyone even remotely interested in the punk scene and/or The Pistols TRUE history! This was purchased from an excellent seller at an extremely affordable price.AMAZING Book! good read
classic case of not knowing this book existed, or I would have bought it years ago big fan of the music of the era, and of PiL, great read, nice to hear from the artist, instead of a directors or writers view of the era,
