I found it interesting
I really enjoyed the book. I found it to be well written & informative. It has taken me a couple months to get around to writing the review...because I never could think of the exact words to use, without selling the book short. I am no wordsmith. Here is my poor attempt. I felt like the author was very insightful into some of the more humane aspects that confront us about the immigration issue, I assume that comes from actually living what he wrote about. It is a hard issue, on the one hand ...these are human beings & I believe the majority of Americans are kind hearted. On the other hand, I am afraid the culture has come to a point where kindness is often exploited and mistaken for weakness. The author does well in pointing out some real life examples of this. I do not have the answer ... I really enjoyed the book. I found it to be well written & informative. Again, the author points in a direction but does not herd the reader, rather describes some differing views & options then lets the reader chose their own path. Bottom line is...the book was worth the price to me, even more.

Being from California I have a sense of what things are like here for the most part and I have to admit that Hanson clearly needs to check A LOT and I mean a lot of his facts. He talks about businesses like Jack-in-the-Box not caring about who they hire......WRONG!!!! He boast about how thinks used to be in his once small town of Selma and how it is now overrun with illegal immigrants and yet, how many of them were his childhood friends. BTW.....I don't live far from Selma and the ENTIRE Central Valley is overrun with illegal Mexicans! If you want to read a book where the author can't really take a stand on an issue then this is it! He also needs to sit down with his editor and fix many, many, many issue with the way the book reads! I would have never have picked this book up if it wasn't ... awesome book mexifornia
very informative and non slanted info on illegal immigration. thanks... the author spoke from first hand experience and not just opinion. something must be done about the illegals in our country and we must first have knowledge before acting.
