Structured like an action role-playing game, Rise of the Argonauts emphasizes violent, combo-driven combat sequences with the ability to switch weapons on the fly and unleash attacks that can decapitate and eviscerate foes with one mighty swing. <br><br>Instead of earning experience points to level up your character, the game involves acquiring new powers and skills by courting the favor of four gods: Apollo, Athena, Ares, and Hermes. Choosing specific dialog paths, slaying a particular beast, winning arena battles, rescuing people, and performing other deeds can unlock different tiers of talents under a particular god. Twenty-five skills are available under each deity, all of which are designed to enhance your combat techniques in various ways. Master the use of swords, spears, maces, and shields, and recruit the likes of Hercules, Achilles, Pan, and Atalanta to fulfill Jason's destiny.

    Let down!

    When i first saw a preview of this game i thought it was going to be awesome.I was WRONG! This game totally let me down from what i was expecting.For starters,the graphics in this game could have been a lot better.Second,the combat aspect had no type of advancement.Through the entire game,all your attacks are pretty much 3 button combos.Besides that,you rarely even fight until you've almost completed the game.Most of the time all you do is run back and fourth talking to people.Don't get me wrong,there were some good things about it.Otherwise,i wouldn't have kept playing it.The story line for Rise of the Argonauts wasn't half bad,and it had lots of good characters.Which also kind of sucked ,because you could only use the main character Jason.The others fight with you,but the computer ...

    Simple yet True to storyline...

    I purchased this video game for my son's 13th birthday. So far, the game has been extremeley entertaining and is exactly what was previewed before the purchase of the movie. If your family enjoys Greek Mythology and that type of ancient history, then you will enjoy this game. We are a family who are very artistic and very much into mythological creatures. This game was worth the money I spent to take us back to a time of strong and determined warriors, a man fighting for a woman he loves, battles with fierce creatures and gods of war and power. This game is a fury of imagination!

    Fun Game, Too Short

    The game was easy to pick up and very fun to play. Graphics were good and it had a good storyline. I did, however beat it in three days time. If not for the last part, it'd have received a 5 star.

    good game if you into the greek myths

    love this game only because i am into the greek myhts if you like that stuff you will love this game movement could be better but overall good game a little boring at first cause you have to talk with eveyone and keep running back and fourth on the island no fast travel like fallout 3 would have been good in this game a lot of time spent running back and fourth and no fighting while you do it
