It is 17.5 inches long, 8 inches wide, and 5.5 inches tall. Since it has a small foot print, it is easy to tuck the printer away in your room or office while you use its Ethernet feature to print from any computer or laptop. You can easily print pictures by using the printer’s USB port with PictBridge cameras or phones.On the left front is a control panel for handling the printer’s functions. It has an on/off button, a cancel button, a resume button, and a button for giving you a printer report. You will also find LEDs that show the status of your network connection and ink status. The paper tray handles both input and output. The input tray can take up to 150 sheets and sits below the output tray. The input tray is filled by flipping up its cover. Thank goodness this (extremely reliable) model is still available!
I owned one of this exact model for 1 month short of ELEVEN YEARS! I am not surprised that refurbished ones are still selling. I didn't really have problems to speak of until the last couple of years (mostly with the printer not recognizing refilled cartridges, etc.) and it was only in the last six months that it got really bad-- in the weeks before it died there was banding, etc. that I couldn't get rid of. But I kept it going because when this works, it really works. It has extra large ink cartridges so you can go much longer without having to change them. My original was a closeout bought in April 2009, so the total then was around $85 and this came to $100 more. So I can't call it a "deal" as such, BUT, it's such a relief to have a printer that I KNOW will really work for at least 5 ... I owned one of this exact model for 1 month short of ELEVEN YEARS! Plus I am writing at the time of the CV-19 quarantine-- my old one decided to die just as that was ramping up-- so shopping around would have been extra difficult on that account. So far it has been printing just like it should, the quality is excellent. It reminds me of the first few years I had my other one.

First, a good design feature is the ability to either cable up to a local PC, or instead use a network cable and print from multiple PCs. Second, it loads paper from the front and sends prints to the front. Ole Faithful!
I have had this model printer for a long time. It is a work horse. And after the 15 min for me to get my computer to see the printer, I rebooted and everything was fine, it printed flawlessly. I have put it through its paces this week and I still say Flawlessly. The refurbish department did a great job. Thanks

HP Deskjet 6940 Printer
I had been looking for a printer with a front USB port, so when I saw it on E-Bay I bid on it. I also liked the fact that I could purchase the Two-Sided Printing Accessory and 250 Sheet Tray on E-Bay. I have always had HP Printers, and they have been very easy to install. This 6940 is not as easy, and I used alot of paper in trial and error. It is a little tricky to get some things to print, but when they do print, the output is very good. Great printer, simple without all bells and whistles of newer models that don't last long.
came in good timely fashion and so far performance is great! My last HP6940 lasted 15 years, I hope this one will last this long too.,
