A towering figure in NBA history, Magic Johnson's 13-year career with the LA Lakers is replete with honors, records, and trophies. Signed to the team after a distinguished two years playing college ball for Michigan State, Earvin "Magic" Johnson became a member of five championship teams, was a 12-time All-Star, and was voted Most Valuable Player and Finals MVP three times each. He also won a gold medal as a member of the original Dream Team in the 1992 Barcelona Olympics. But what anyone who has ever seen this legendary athlete play remembers is his winning exuberance, his smile, and the sheer love of the game he played. This documentary explores the man behind the myth, beginning with his beginnings in Lansing, Michigan, and his tenure at Everett High School, where he first garnered the nickname "Magic." Featuring in-depth interviews with Magic, the film is narrated by Danny Glover (LETHAL WEAPON), and explores the entire trajectory of the star's career, including footage of his 1995 return to the NBA.

    The Joy of Magic

    I loved this Magic Bio from the first time I saw it. They Filmakers really captures the enthusiasm, charm ,and charisma of this special athlete. The only flaw was the new ending. It was edited in without Danny Glover's voice. The whole tone changed and lessened the initial energy that was the trademark of the original video. I still love it!

    This the best video available for the Magic Johnson fan This dvd is full of highlights and the detailed story of the "Magic Man", told by himself. If you are looking for a difinative collection piece regarding one of the greatest to ever lace them up than this is it! A must have for the true basketball fan!

    Showtime

    This is great for the Magic Johnson and Showtime Fans and that is why I chose it. It is a great documentary of a excellent basketball player and person. And the high lights were great.
