    Best GPS I have had

    I got this with the lifetime maps and traffic. Lane guidance is very helpful. Big screen is wonderful. The real life pictures of tricky intersections is great. More accurate mapping than my Garmin Nuvi. Traffic is as good as I have seen - not always perfect in someplace like NY, but at least as good as the traffic reports and google traffic. Like all the options. Touch screen is a little unresponsive, but not terrible. Software update and connection to my TOm Tom could be better, but it eventually works. On the whole, I like this the best of any of the GPS that I have had. Worth every penny

    good but no lifetime map updating

    It's better than my old one. But pay attention that it doesn't have lifetime map updating. My old one has lifetime map, so somehow it let me to transfer it from my stolen TomTom to this XXL 540S. However, after updating XXL 540S, it tells that no map is found. I recalled it's possible because electrical breakdown occurred during updating or there were three maps to be downloaded to XXL 540S which is not capable of holding all of them. Anyway, I ended up with deleting the Northern America from XXL 540S and re-updated it. It finally worked. I have not had a chance to use it yet though set up two travel plans which looks good.

    Great display size, fast and reliable. Very happy. Recommended

    Well, i wanted a GPS Unit, i liked this one because it has 2G internal memory, so i can use large maps on it. The display is very big, is easy to see all the instructions on it. Very fast finding the Sattelites. I am very happy with this buy, do not regret.

    Non flexible suction cup

    The suction cup will not hold on the windshield, even after both, the windshield and the suction cup had warmed up the GPS fell onto the dash. The first time after about 10 minutes on a cooler day, on a warm day it held for almost 30 minutes. I finally gave up and fastened it with plastic wire ties to a metal base on the dash so I could use the GPS.

    TOMTOM

    I bought this used at very little price plugged it in and it works real nice gets me here and gets me there talks to me but I don't care bright display is plenty good takes me out of my neighborhood tells my speed so I don't go slow tells me things that I didn't know like where I am and where I'll be and when I'll be there too, you see I love this thing and I must admit I only bought this cause my first one quit.
