An entertaining change for the license.
Honestly, when I heard about this series I had my doubts and thought it would be the nail in the coffin of the Power Rangers legacy. I found was the concept and costumes on this incarnation of the Power Ranger series to be a more fun than most. It is a cross between Power Rangers and Harry Potter and also marks the first time that both the American and Japanese series were shot on the same locations in New Zealand. My son also pointed out that this was the first time you had a main character always trying to mediate with the monsters. The Green Ranger always wants to avoid conflict and get his enemies to talk...usually with no success or this would be a boring series. I also like the fact that all the Disney era series have continuity with themselves and are not just the Saban era "monster ... Power Rangers Mystic Force.. GREAT
This is acually the one series of power rangers that I can watch with my 4 year old. I have seen most power rangers movies over the years.... many kids worth.... The mystic force is a great series. This particular DVD is great. It even teaches kids the importance of trusting others, and helping out. The special effects are better than any other Rangers movies or series I've seen and FOR THE FIRST TIME.. the acting isn't as bad. I would HIGHLY recommend this or any DVD from the mystic force series.This is acually the one series of power rangers that I can watch with my 4 year old. This volume answers alot of questions I had about certain things.The acting is good. Like the others there is alot of magic used.
