Product Information

Players hop aboard a tiny rowboat and set course for a maritime magnificence in this platform combat game from Bandai. Based on the popular pirate adventure series, brought Stateside in Shonen Jump's monthly manga compilation and as anime from the 4Kids Entertainment television syndicate, this game puts players in control of Monkey D. Luffy, the good-humored young pirate captain with the distinguishing ability to stretch and bounce like rubber. Aspiring to be hailed as the next Pirate King, Luffy seeks the fabled "One Piece," the treasure of the legendary Gold Roger. <br><br>Yet Luffy will need a ship, and a crew to help him sail it, if he hopes to get very far in his quest. Eventually, he is joined by friends from the series; the game offers a total of 16 playable characters, with many more who can be called on for support. As suggested by the subtitle, much of the action involves combat, which can take place in one of seven environments, all based on places featured in the television show. Each character can perform more than 20 fighting moves and special attacks, and found objects may be picked up and used in battle as well. Two One Piece fans can fight head-to-head in the game's "Versus" mode.

Item finally arrived. Seller was quick to post, just shipped abroad. The soundtrack disc worked fine when it got here, but the game disc wouldn’t read at first. There were a number of mostly minor scratches on it, so had to give the disc a clean and use some Scratch X to try and rid of most of the scratches. Takes a while to boot, but it does work now. Thanks.

    Decent.

    If you like the One Piece series, this is a pretty good game. I don't think the replay value is very good and I can see anybody selling this game once they have played it. The voices are in English, which may now be for those people who are fabs of the subs. The gameplay is so-so. The characters are decent and the layout is that of Mortal Combat. You can easily beat the game with button mashing. All in all it will come down to your personal opinion and how much you like the anime to ignore these things. Hope this was helpful.

    one piece: grand battle (playstation 2)

    this game it awesome it is challenging and a great game to play. will beat it sometime. was on my way to that and then it was stolen and couldn't play now its back and will get it beat. you get into it and don't want to stop. price is geat on ebay to get. this is one game you can't get store anymore. get it and have fun. good luck with it if you get it.

    it 's really a kid game

    It was an ok game.But I will be honest with you, only by this game if you are under 12yrs old or if youre just a fan of shonen jump manga

    it is a good game for people that like the anime.

    over all it is a great game that takes after the anime. I like fighting games so I would buy it again. it have some big disapoiments such as graphics.
