Product Information

Metal Saga is a futuristic role-playing game that finds the world ruled by a sentient supercomputer called Noah and its mechanized minions. While Noah was eventually defeated by the remnants of humanity known as hunters, robots still overrun the land and threaten what is left of civilization. Players assume the role of an unnamed human survivor, who vows to follow in his father's footsteps and become a hunter. To that end, play involves traveling to different towns and villages amidst the post-apocalyptic wasteland that serves as the game's backdrop. Combat against rival machines primarily occurs inside vehicles such as tanks, with each side alternating turns and issuing commands via menus in classic console role-playing game fashion.<br><br>Once players reach town, they are free to converse with the locals, receive optional quests, and view a list of bounties to collect. Metal Saga features more than 800 events and quests in total, as well as an assortment of customization options. Players can use scrap metal from defeated enemies to forge their own items, and outfit their vehicles with enhanced weapons, engines, and armor. The developers have also added a playful sense of humor to the seemingly serious storyline, as players command the "dogs of war," canines with bazookas strapped to their backs, and use remote-controlled devices for comic effect. Twelve mini-games are included as a bonus, allowing players to win money or items in between the estimated 40+ hours of adventuring.

Absolutely fantastic experience. The seller alleviated all of my concerns by following directions I know I needed to receive the item in good condition. If I need a retro game again, this is the seller I'm going to go with first.

    Metal Saga ps2

    First off the game has not aged well . The game play as is in most rpgs from this era is pretty good and is a more go fetch and level up than anything. The worst part of the game is the camera angle. Also it doesn't have a good tutorial so getting a strategy guide and a manual is pretty much a given. I did enjoy the vehicles and all the upgrades you can get. This part of the game kept me wanting to keep pushing through the game to see what i could do next. All in all a pretty good game it could have used another 6 months of development to tweek this and that but a good game for retro fans. I liked this game. It ain't no FF but it did the trick for me for what it is.

    Throwback to the early days

    What's not to love about Metal Saga; so far i've logged over 80 hours into the game, and i still haven't completed it. This thing is huge! Granted, it doesn't have the kind of linear storylines most gamers are used to, but i like a little more freedom when i'm playing these types of games. It does have its faults; the lack of any sort of voice overs for conversations is a bit low budget in my eyes (not necessary, but still a pet peeve of mine). Also, there could have been more to the map; it's already big, but for me it's not big enough. Buying this was a shoe in when i saw the price it was listed for; much cheaper than any stores around where i am, and quick shipping as well.

    Metal Saga Lost treasure of 2005

    This Game is amazing the jokes of Atlus leave you astounded and the gameplay allows you to be completely immersed into the life of your character. The hunter you play as is a basic Anime boy you give a name and becomes a hunter or you have the choice to be a mechanic leading to a funny cut scene ending the game LOL. Anyway the game has many great qualities and is well worth getting.

    An Atlus-published rpg that is a true diamond in the rough.

    It's a great game from an obscure series, with almost entirely non-linear gameplay. Granted, it's not a perfect game, and the graphics are in fact a bit brown, but overall the experience is great for those of you who like playing on your own terms in a sandbox-type rpg. If you like the kind of setting Fallout has, then you just need to give Metal Saga a shot!
